InSight Telepsychiatry, LLC was founded in 2008 after doing business for over a
decade as a component of Center for Family Guidance, PC (CFG) and its sister company
CFG Health Systems, LLC. The dynamic growth in demand for the company’s services
warranted the creation of a separate entity to concentrate on telepsychiatry.
While InSight Telepsychiatry, LLC is a new company, it has an outstanding, established
presence as an offshoot of CFG. A handful of professionals determined to improve
behavioral healthcare started CFG in 1997 as an outpatient center in southern New
Jersey. A decade later, the company and its over 750 employees are essential to
the delivery of quality psychiatric care in hospitals and correctional facilities
throughout the region.
CFG’s carefully-guided, planned growth was fueled by the organization’s pioneering
use of telepsychiatry beginning in 1999. The philosophy behind this groundbreaking
treatment was a simple one – high-level psychiatric care should be available anywhere
at any time to anyone who needs it.
Now performing more than 8,000 emergent telepsychiatric consultations a year, InSight
provides coverage for a variety of crisis centers, hospitals, correctional facilities,
outpatient offices, military bases, and residential treatment programs in the region.
Through its around the clock network of psychiatric specialists, InSight tailors
its services to meet the individual needs of each customer and utilizes board certified
psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners. The knowledge and experience
of the specialists on our team offers a level of service that is unparalleled in
the behavioral healthcare industry.
InSight has been instrumental in implementing the use of telepsychiatry services
in the area, and our network of customers and providers is continuously expanding
