“As a nurse consultant for Cost Management Plus with county correctional facilities
in major metropolitan areas and small rural jails, I often run into the same issue:
inmates in need of psychiatric care. Many times psychiatrists are providing services
for more than one county and limit the number of hours to the jails to a single
monthly visit. This lack of available service increases the cost of hospital/emergency
room visits and increased medication expenses. I’ve worked with the CFG Health Network
for a number of years and find they are willing to tailor their telepsychiatry services
to meet the individual needs of each jail, thereby providing an important service
to an underserved community. I have witnessed first-hand the benefits of InSight’s
telepsychiatry program. I would certainly recommend this service as a much needed
